With Ice or Schilled?
The Sox dropping two games in a row may not be reason for concern this early. However, if you lose a playoff birth by a couple of games, than each game is vital. Seeing Ortiz hit his 5th and 6th home runs is encouraging. Seeing Schilling get rocked for 6, is not.
Schilling is now 1-2 with 7.13 ERA.
Bellhorn is up to 24 strikeouts on the season but still has a .333 OBP. It seems that neither Manny or Ortiz have found their stride as the two of them are hankering around .274 and .261 batting averages. Look for this team to explode soon, both with pitching and offense… Let’s hope this year they don’t wait until the end of July though.
Let’s look for Arroyo to save the team from being swept.
