OK, I was very wrong… this game
Ok, I admit that I was far from right with my prediction about the Sox’s first game against the Orioles back at Fenway. Wells was not pitching anywhere near what I predicted. Do I think he could of won the game if he hadn’t injured himself, possibly. But the team lacked run support and most people, when they are down by as many runs as the Sox were, tend to not have the drive to compete.
However, still look for Manny and Ortiz to explode. Neither of them had a great day; Ortiz’s hits were nothing spectacular. We did see a little pop early from Renteria but he’s still looking to find himself.
Not to worry, we should bounce back with Clement next game.
