Olerud is Onbaord and Now With The Sox
John Olerud signed a minor league deal with the Red Sox. Olerud played first for the Mariners and Yankees last year. He hit .259 with 9 home runs and 48 RBIs. In his career he has 3 Gold Gloves, is a .295 batter, 2 World Series Rings, and the ‘93 batting title when he hit.363.
The Sox will also start Jeremi Gonzalez Monday against Detroit. Gonzalez has a 3.00 ERA with a record of 1-2 for the PawSox.
Mark Bellhorn and Alan Embree are still sick and it’s questionable whether either will start Monday’s game.
