I will be hosting a BA (BoSox Annonymous) mtg. this Friday night for those wishing to attend. And for the record, I am not Shawn's sponsor ;-)

Trade deadline is bogus. Nothing happened this year --nothing big that is-- because so much of the league, players and owners, have way-too-much invested financially. Manny is a perfect example. He does put up great numbers, and the Sox need that, but who wants the $20million salary (I doubt the Mets do)? And why should the Sox be willing to pick it up? I mean, afterall, they are paying everything but $100 thousand of NY Yankee Alan Embree's $3 million salary.

Which makes me think, what a bum Embree is. Supposively he had several offers, and of course he would choose the Yankees!

You see the thing about Embree is, that we finally have someone behind enemy lines. He'll still suck with the Yanks. Like the other day when he made that throwing error to first. And I don't think the Sox ( now that is) are willing to pay Manny to play for another team. I also don't think that a big price tag on a player is an issue for them. After all they were going to trade for A-Rod. I don't remember all the details but even if A-Rod was going to get less money, he still would have been the highest payed player in the game.
