The Wheels Are On The Tracks

As much as I’d like to see Schilling as a starter, I can’t turn a blind eye to his 7 saves in 8 opportunities. The trade-talk was frustrating this year and I’m glad nothing turned too ugly. Manny is back, kind of, barring serious injury from the collision with Renteria. The post up below from Gammons gives some great insight about the doings of the organization and its inner-flow. Given all that, I’d like to think the Sox are ready to go on a tear, or maybe they already are since they’ve won 7 in a row and last year they peeked at 10 in a row.

Playing well is one thing, but this is a group that has to enjoy playing. When this team is having fun, no one can beat them! (Just ask any $200 million team that ;-) ). A lot of faces have changed, but the core remains. The additions to the team have been amazing, overall.

T-Graf is as solid as they come — can you remember the last time the Sox had a .300 hitting second baseman?

Cruz Jr. — besides the ball that trickled around him last night, he’s a switch hitting outfielder. Can you remember the last time the Sox had a switch hitting outfielder?

Oh, Gabe — Kapler. Need I say more?

Bradford gives us a great righty specialist to off-set Myers… You go ahead and stay in NYC Embree. Thanks for last year, and we’ll move on and forget you — you trading goat-tee shaver, you!

Cora — like a Cobra snake, filling the holes to the tune of an Indian flute ;-)

Johnny O — Haven’t had to worry about the O’s ever since.

We’ve made it 7 in a row. If we go 11 in a row, then we’ll know we’ll rolling.
