Our Test Begins
It’s been looking for awhile like the ChiSox would be the team to go through this year. We split the series with them earlier in the season, but tomorrow night we get Mark Buehrle (13-4, 2.79 ERA), and on Saturday we get Jon Garland (16-5, 3.29 ERA). Two top-notch pitchers having career seasons. I think it’s safe to say, the test has come and hopefully the team has been studying.
The good play as of late, I think in most cases, can be mainly attributed to a hot offense. The pitching has been so-so and far from consistent. If the offense gets shut down against these aces, will the arms step up? Hopefully the offense keeps rolling, but this should make for a great series.

YOU ARE DREAMING! This Sox offense is going to tear the aces a new one! Don’t forget, we have a pair of Jacks with Papi and Manny…

And a pair of Jacks beats one Ace every hand

I’m still not a believer in the Sox…White that is. I do think that Buehrle is an outstanding pitcher and he has be under the radar the past few years, but we got to him a bit the last time we saw him. But Garland is just having a good year. I would like to see the Sox…Red that is, tear into him. That way the critics will start questioning his performance against quality teams.
