Late Innings Are Sox’s Past-Time
After catching the Spinners Single-A game in Burlington, VT last night, I came home in time to watch the remainder of the Sox Royals match up. Surprisingly, the score was a low 3-3. Once the game went into extra innings I had my doubts. This year hasn’t been anything like last years post-season extra innings affairs. And this game wasn’t either.
Not sure why, exactly, but the Sox haven’t faired all too well in games that go into extra innings. My concern is that our bullpen and rotation is on the ropes. My guess is that we will probably miss Wells for a game, and Schilling’s test starts tonight. As Shawn was saying last night at the game, it would’ve been nice to have kept Lenny D. up for the extra arm, or have brought Hansen up (although I’m not sure if now is the right time). Hopefully we can manage to get through this and take the series in Kansas City.

Yeah…What can be worst than the Spinners giving up 6 runs in the 9th then losing in the 10th? Coming home and watching the Sox lose to KC in the 11th after stranding everyone that got on base minus 3.
