ALERT! Shawn Cancels Welcome Back Bellhorn Party
I thought for sure Shawn would’ve posted this by now. It seems his very good friend, Mark Bellhorn has jumped ship and moved to New York. Apparently the Yankees like signing the Sox’s defects (i.e. Embree and Bellhorn). As Shawn would put it, they will do more now to help the Red Sox win the division than they did when they were with the Red Sox.
It also seems that Mr. K wanted more than a minor league contract. It must have been his incredibly inflated salary this year (well over $2.5mm) went right to his head. Can anyone else name a 2B infielder with a .216 avg. and a monstrous number of strikeouts getting that kind of money?
