Sox Win, Yanks Lose With Bellhorn and Wells Gets Sent To The Front Office
I have to hand it to Mark Bellhorn. His consistent plate performance finally helped out the Sox. Going 0-4 with the Yankees last night as their 3rd baseman solidified that he’s back, just not in a Sox uniform.
Schilling got rocked again early… Why he keeps trying that splitter so much when his control with the fast ball was effective, I don’t know. I know he needs to regain the splitter, but perhaps when they’ve spanked you for 4 doubles you might try and get by that night with what’s working. Thankfully the offense came through, again. I don’t see that always being the case in the post-season, though. The arms have got to come alive, very very very very soon!
David Wells has a date with the Commish’s office, but not Selig. Ole Bud won’t be there apparently, and that probably has to weigh in David’s favor. It seems the 18 minute rant from Wells has caught more than just the public’s attention, and who knows what’ll happen now. They can’t suspend him for anymore games, right? Perhaps just a fine…
