Boom’d Past Orioles, Schilled Chicago Experience
It was nice to see David Wells return from his suspension with the performance he had over the Baltimore Orioles, a team that we often struggle with. Now, I’m not anywhere close to being David’s age, but that has to be quite an achievement to go a full game with a victory when you’re over 40.
Our good friend Curt Schilling wasn’t as fortunate in his outing. Still looking to find his rythym, location and velocity, Schilling was rocked for 4 runs against the AL Central leading Chicago White Sox. On the brighter note, Keith Foulke has a very strong outing. He went 1 and 2/3 innings without giving up a run.
With September now getting into full swing, each victory and every performance is crucial. Returning to form for some of the team is an immediate need. The division has to be won this year! The wild-care race, is just that, too wild. I don’t want to see another 2002 end of season.
