Unecessary Losses Must Be Avoided
Last night’s lost was not a heart-breaker by any means. But, seeing the Yankees move within 2.5 games is worrisome as I’m hoping that gap will widen considerably ’til the end of the season showdown at Fenway. I guess it does make for some play-off-run baseball excitement, but I’m so used to being on the ‘catch-up’ side that seeing the lead slowly disappear is far from enjoyable for me.
The real issue last night was more Clement’s consistency down the stretch than the BoSox offense. Yes, we need to put up more than 3 runs a game, but we can’t be giving up 1 an inning either.
