Through Sickness and In Health

Ok, so the team has had its injuries all year long, but I needed to post about this interesting study USA Today published today:

n a letter today in the Annals of Emergency Medicine, the scientists reported that emergency department visits were about 15% lower than expected during the highest-rated games: the seventh and final ALCS game and the fourth and final World Series game. Visits were 15% higher than expected during the two lowest-rated: ALCS games 3 and 4, when the Red Sox were losing and facing elimination.

    And people wonder why the MLB is centered around Boston and NY? This is where baseball and the ” REAL ” fans exsist.
