Red Sox Assistant GM Heads To Arizona
Josh Byrnes is now the General Manager of the Arizona Diamondbacks. Ole J.B. is known for his top-notch statistical analysis of the game and players. Byrnes was assistant GM of the Red Sox since Theo Epstein took over as general manager in 2002. Both worked together to create the team that won the World Series in 2004.
Byrnes replaces Joe Garagiola Jr., who resigned and became senior vice president of baseball operations for the commissioner.
