Epstein Stays, Manny To Go
Theo will get a pay raise, reports of up-to $1.5million. And Manny will keep being Manny with his $20+ million a year. Now, as all of you know, Manny wants to be traded and because of the 10-5 rule, he basically can pick to where. The Sox are sure to take a hit with the cash on this deal, but probably not any worse than the Clement, Renteria ordeal we have under our hands at the moment.
Hopefully the Theo re-signing and future Manny trade will pave the way for great opportunity. In addition, maybe it will help resign Johnny Damon, who could very well be needed at-length next season. And, perhaps more importantly, can we free up enough money to throw at Konerko to get him and without getting burned?
Oh there are sure to be many new faces next season…
