The Likelihood of Manny’s Departure

It appears at the moment that Manny truly wants to leave Boston this time. Who can blame him really? His owners of the last 3 seasons have not hidden their desire to rid themselves of his contract, even more so than they publicised the out-cry of why they “couldn’t” resign Pedro Martinez.

Unfortunately, Manny may not be here next year. That is if the Angels can figure a way to get him. Reports are abound that LAA wants Konerko, but wouldn’t Manny Rameriz be a better headline for a team trying to dominate the Los Angeles area?

I don’t need to play out the possibilities the Red Sox could get in return for the Manny trade. However, with Manny he might just nix the deal because there might be too many lines to read in a possible trade prospectus.

I guess it’s anyone’s guess, really. If Manny’s not happy, which his numbers from this past season indicate (atleast the first half), than figure a way to move him. If he gets too “Manny”, suspend him without pay.

Ah yes, it’s so easy master-minding the world of baseball from Burlington, Vermont.
