Forget About Wagner

Billy Wagner has agreed to a 4 year $43mil deal with the Mets. Red Sox fans should be happy. Of course he would’ve looked good on the tail end of our bull pen, but at 35 years old - do you really think we would get 4 productive years? I’d rather see if we can get Foulke up to speed and if not work on Hansen as a closer.

So far, it looks like the Mets are serious about un-seating the Braves. As it stands they are still my favorite NY baseball team.

    Well, one thing is very apparant. The Mets are not only willing, but appear eager to spend some big bucks to buy their way to the top of the division. They’ve made some nice acquisitions, but it takes more than names on paper to produce results. Only time will tell, and with their roster, the time will need to be soon.
