With Konerko In Chicago, Will Angels Move In For Manny?
After having their offer of $60+ million refused by Chicago White Sox Paul Konerko, will the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim look to try and trade for Manny Rameriz. I guess it could be anyone’s guess, but if they were willing to pony up ove r$60 million over 5 years for Konerko, what’s a future hall of famer worth to them over 3 years?
I’d like to see Manny stay in Boston, and reports are that he wants to go to the Angels who desparately need someone to back up Vlad in the order. However, it will take a lot from LAA to persuade the Sox organization to trade the prolific hitter. It will probably also take a lot to convince Manny to stay and play in Boston next season.
