Mike Myers Now A Yankees … Not Much We Could’ve Done
Don’t get me wrong, I like Myers as a left handed specialist. No doubt about it, he’s one of the top ones in the game. I’m a bit surprised the Yankees gave him a multi-million dollar contract over two years. He faced 95 batters last year, and he had very good numbers. But what the Yankees are paying him ($2.4mm over 2 years), he’ll make nearly $13,000 for every batter he faces.
It goes without saying Big Papi is going to see alot of Mike Myers this upcoming season. Ortiz has stated difficulty in picking up the ball from Myers, as had many lefties.
I wish we could have kept Myers over Bradford, but that’s just one more thing that hasn’t gone my way this offseason
