Eric Davis ran down and sacraficed his body for every ball that entered the OF. It was also the end of his career. Too many reckless plays caused too many injurys. We all love an all out diving catch, but when your 32 it tends to catch up to you. The bad thing with Johnny is he has to make alot of those plays because of his arm. If he doesn't track down that fly ball in the triangle, a double may be a triple (for a slower player). A guy like Ichiro may get an inside the parker. I would like to see Johnny back, but not at all cost. If NY wants to get stupid, let them.
