Hee-Seop Choi Joins Sox Off Of Waivers
Just reported, the Red Sox have picked up another first baseman, Hee-Seop Choi. Choi has played with the Cubs, Marlins and Dodgers in his major leagure career. He also played for South Korea in the WBC.
Choi is a .240 career hitter with 40 HRs, 120 RBIs and just below .350 OBP in 360+ major league games. His career fielding % is .992.
Hmmm… be interesting to see the Sox’s move now with Youk (with rumors indicating a move back to 3rd) and Snow already penciled at first, and Choi seeming like another defensive backup selection.
