Change Up?
Have things changed that much from the past few years? I’m not talking about the roster, or the low run numbers. It’s not the defense either. We’ve seen two games against the Devil Rays and no one, let me say this again, no one has been hit by a pitch yet. We all know the story line. These two clubs have been beaning each other for what seems like forever. Tonight’s game features Tim Wakefield and he is more likely to hit someone, even though it probably will not be with malice intent. I could see retaliation if that were to happen. I would also assume that MLB has a close eye on the bean ball war between these clubs.
Also Adam “The Dive” Stern has been sent down to AAA. Wednesday was day 17, thus completeing his rule 5 term at the bigs with the Sox. Now he’ll get a fair amount of playing time at Pawtucket. Willie Harris’ contract was bought out and he’ll be our ultimate utillity player in the outfield and infield.

It could still get interesting tonight with Kazmir on the hill for Tampa Bay. As Schilling has noted, this team (despite MLB pressure) might make things a little hairy.
Personally, I can’t stand it when games get out of control like many of the Devil Rays - Sox games have gone. I’d rather the sweep!
