Mohawk: Saves 1 For 1
I didn’t hear the song Wild Thing start blasting in the bottom of the 9th inning when Papelbon came in to close the game out, but I’m also glad we didn’t see any of the wildness in his pitching either.
Ok, so by now everyone should know that Papelbon has thrown over 10 scoreless innings straight. Making for a tidy 0.00 ERA and leading the AL in saves, with 8. But the best of it all is the new dew he’s fashioned from “winning” a bet with Kevin Youkilis.
Apparantly he’s a much better pitcher than he is a gambler, even if he did “win” the bet.
